Kabuki-mono
The kabuki-mono (ja カブキ者) or hatamoto-yakko (ja 旗本奴) were a group made up of Rônin S, which made its appearance during the time of Edo. Because of their warlike formation, they were excellent combatants. They were characterized by their behavior and haircut atypical, but also by their very slang language and their manners very provocantes. They generally brigandaient on the roads of medieval Japan, plundering the villages and the small towns, and one also found some dealing with the “district of the pleasures” of Edo (the zone of the city in which the residences of the Geisha S were.)
The kabuki-mono are one of the possible origins of the Yakuza , although those assert being resulting from Machi-yakko (ja 町奴), a kind of private police force which opposed the kabuki-mono .
