Kaïnate

The ion kaïnate is a specific agonist receiving kaïnate. The kaïnate imitates the effect of the Glutamate. It is used in experiments to distinguish a receiving from the others receiving ionotropes of glutamate which are activated by various agonists: NMDA and AMPA.
