The Košarkaški Klub Hemofarm is a female club Serb of Basket-ball evolving/moving in the town of Vršac. The club also has a male section, it also in the national elite
History
The female section was born in 1946, and in 1952 it is champion of Yugoslavia junior. In 1964, it agrees the right, after a brilliant season, to dispute the League of Voïvodine, then changes name into 1967 by taking that of VIK - Vršac . This change is a kind of delivery for the players since it acquire new right and especially facilities in order to be able to involve itself with dignity.In 1972 the team comes very close to exploit to be qualified for the I National League , the highest division of plain Serbia . Then, in 1989, in fact financial problems prevent it from taking part in the I “B” National league . This rise in I “B” National league will be ensured in 1992, thanks to the arrival of the sponsor Hemofarm . The following year the club goes up in I National League , before starting to obtain national titles.
