KHR-1 is a Robot programmable, biped and humanoïde presented in June 2004 by the company Japan ease Kondo.
At the time of its introduction, it was one of the programmable biped robots least expensive of the market (with varying prices of approximately 1.600 US$ with the the United States and 128.000 ¥ in Japan). The robot measures 34cm top and profits from 17 degrees of freedom (each articulation being equipped with a individual Servomoteur). It is capable of a broad range of movements, of which rapids stylistic devices " Kung fu ".
The KHR-1 can be remote-controlled, but the remote control is sold separately. Other additional modifications/propose additional degrees of freedom, a microphone-controller of detection of movement of high efficiency, multiaxis accelerometers, " pieds" broader…
The basic robot provided by Kondo uses a simple application of control called HearttoHeart which makes it possible the user to create or to capture a sequence of installations and to control speeds of transition. The software thus makes it possible to create sequences of movements to form long scenarios.
The users of the KHR-1 developed themselves of more advanced controls, allowing gêrer the movements and the scenarios since a personal computer.
The KHR-1 one of is more used for the competitions of the type ROBO-ONE J in Japan. In 2004, this robot gained the category Robo-One Jr (robots light weight) with the Robolympics.
