The club

1923 : perhaps founded starting from Yser , Gemeenteclub and Evergems Verbond , FOOTBALL CLUB EVERGEM-CENTER existed already in 1923. The club became adherent member of the Belgian Royal Union of the Companies of Football Association (URBSFA) by affiliating with the METROPOLITAN UNION (27) in 1923 (note foot 100 asbl: METROPOLITAN UNION - also called Sporting union DIOCESAINE - was an association of football clubs resulting from schools or associations especially (exclusively?) catholics. It was created then directed by Francis DESSAIN; affiliated with the URBSFA the 1/1/1907, it accepted the number number 27 in 1926 and resigned the 2/6/1931. Francis DESSAIN (25.07.1875 - 23.08.1951) was player of division 1 with LEOPOLD FOOTBALL CLUB (5), with FOOTBALL CLUB MALINOIS (25), international B, lawyer, priest, canon, secretary of the Cardinal DRAPER then President of the URBSFA of 1945 to 1951)
