KCSM is a radio station and a television channel with not-lucrative goal of San Mateo, in California. It diffuses Jazz 24 hours a day. As affiliated of National Public Radio operator and International Radio operator Public, it emits many programs devoted to the jazz. Its owner is San Mateo Community College District. It covers bay of San Francisco by a transmitter of 11,5 kilohertzs, and its studios are located at the college of San Mateo. She asserts an audience of 200.000 people
History
KCSM FM and TV were founded with the College of San Mateo in 1964 like a means of drive for the diffusers of television and radio. They is there that several personalities of the media were formed, which includes/understands the director of production of KGO Michael Amatori, to defer it Steve Wilson, like Jon Miller. Of 1964 with 1980 the College of San Mateo offers courses in the field of the diffusion. The station functions until in 1974 thanks to the students, and currently the people who work there are professionals.
