Season 2007-2008 of the KAC of Kénitra |} KAC of Kénitra (in Arab, الناديالقنيطري) is a Moroccan club of Football based with Kénitra, founded in 1938 and currently evolving/moving in the first division of the championship Morocco Ain in 2007/2008.

History

Beginnings of the club

The creation of the Kénitra Athlétic Club goes up at the time of protectorate by Seddik Mkinsi and Abdelkader Sbaii known as Tanto . Constituted exclusively of Moroccan players, the club started its first year in Division of Honor then reached the second division and then makes a success of the rise in the 1st division (1956) the year of the 1st footbalistic season under the aegis of the Moroccan Royal Fédération of Football.
In 1959, the club is dealt with by Ahmed Souiri, an expert except par of the football, which became for the KAC a kind of spiritual father. The year according to, the club gained its first title of championship and a year after its first cut of the Throne in 1961.

The beautiful time

During the Years 1970, the KAC included/understood several international players in fact Mohamed Rhiad, Boujemaâ Benkhrif, Mohamed Zouita known as Kala and others, and always under the control of charismatic the Ahmed Souiri. The apogee of the KAC

The years 1980 constitute the glorious years of the KAC, during this period, the club was affirmed like one of the large Moroccan clubs, and was famous to have the best formation on the national plan, there was several international KAC including 6 players (Mohamed Boussati, Jamal Jebrane, Nkilla, Noureddine Bouyahyaoui and Aziz Bouâbid) indisputably titular in the national team of Morocco. To announce that Mohamed Boussati always holds the record of the greatest number of goals registered in only one season in championship (25 goals at the time of the season 1981-82).

After two consecutive titles of championship (1981 and 1982), the KAC became in 1983, the first Moroccan club to reach the stage of the quarterfinals of the Coupe of Africa of the clubs champions since the performance of FAR of Reduction in 1968.

In 1984, the club rises at the top of Arab football, by reaching the final of the Ligue of the Arab Champions, and the season according to it finishes in 2nd place of the championship.

Years 1990 or one inescapable fall

Except for a final of cut of throne lost in 1991 against the Kawkab de Marrakech, never the KAC, since, did not find the level of its glorious years. In 1995, following financial problems, the club is even relegated in 2 {{me}} division, it will go up among the elite only in 2003, to go down again two years later.

In 2006/07, thanks to young talented players, such Tarik Merzouk, Noureddine Jbara and Jacques Andersson, the KAC carries out its return in 1 {{Re}} division under the control of a new president, Hakim Doumou and under the crook of a young trainer Mounir Jaouani, who is not other than the ex-captain emblematic of the greens who spent 20 years of career under the shirt of the KAC. During this same season, the juniors of the KAC qualified themselves for the finale of the Moroccan Championnat Junior.

The revival

The Chevaliers of Sebou start the season 2007/2008 in elite with a relatively young manpower and amputee of the best striker of the club Tarik Merzouk transferred to FAR from Reduction and Jacques Andersson. That did not prevent the team from leaving great matches to the beginning of the season in particular by beating the champion in title, the Olympique of Khouribga in Kénitra at the time of the 2nd day.
