Kārlis Skrastiņš

Kārlis Skrastiņš (born the July 7th 1974 with Rīga in Latvia) is a player of professional Hockey evolving/moving in the National league of hockey at the station of defender for the Avalanche of Colorado.

Career of player

He carried also the colors of the HK Pardaugava Riga, of RASM Riga, TPS Turku, the Admirals of Milwaukee, the Predators of Nashville and the HK Riga 2000. With the TPS, it gained the European Ligue of hockey in 1997.

Skrastiņš was fished out by Predators in 9th round of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1998, 230e on the whole. It spent the five following seasons with Predators before being yielded to the Avalanche in 2003. On March 26th 2006, Skrastiņš did not miss any by the 423 last matches of its team; it is the longest sequence of the kind at present in the LNH.

International career

It took part with the team of Latvia in the Olympic Games of 2002 and 2006 like in nine championships of the world.
