Geography

Juvaincourt is located at the North-West of the plain of the Vosges, to 9 km of the chief town of canton: Mirecourt. The village developed on a broad plate, culminating with 320 meters of altitude, including very diverse sectors, as well by the relief as by the nature of the ground. Several forests come to animate this landscape: wood the Boilerman, the wood of Behind Greenhouse and finally that of the Jury and the menu wood who accommodate paths of hiking according to various sets of themes. The occupation of the natural field is related to its topography. The flat grounds are occupied by meadows, ploughings and orchards. More raised sites, as for them, accommodate a landscape of orchards.

The communal territory is crossed by the brook of Oëlleville which is thrown downstream in the Madon.

In the middle of this landscape, Juvaincourt is a typical village of Lorraine: a village-street developed along the main roads. The village has two laundrettes of big size, the fountains, the martyrdoms… while many houses still have niches.
