Justin Luquot
Justin Luquot is a French politician born the Lamazière-Low on January 2nd, 1881 with (Corrèze and died on December 24th, 1944 in Coutras (the Gironde).
Biography
Resulting from a modest milieu, Justin Luquot is shop clerk, then sales representative. He adheres to SFIO. He marries a teacher, also militant SFIO, which he follows in his new assignment, in Coutras, in 1911.
He becomes mayor of this commune in 1925, and the remainder until 1941. Unfortunate candidate of the Socialist party to the legislative elections of 1928 in the district of Libourne-II, it is elected in 1932, in this same district, and is re-elected in 1936.
In 1933, Justin Luquot leaves the SFIO with the neosocialists, but breaks quickly with tendency, refusing the authoritarian abuse and fascisante Adrien Marquet and Marcel Déat. February 7th, 1937, it adheres again to the SFIO.
It vote against the full powerss with Philippe Pétain on July 10th, 1940, this is worth to him to be revoked of its post of mayor on March 10th, 1941. President of the local committee of Release, it finds his scarf of mayor in 1944, but dies in the end of the year. Its widow succeeds to him the head of the town hall.
