Justin Bessou

Justin Bessou is a French poet of expression Occitan E born with Méjalanou, commune of Saint-Salvadou (Aveyron), on November 1st 1845.

Biography

He was successively vicar with Saint-Obstruct-in Olt (1872 to 1877) then with Marcillac-Small valley (1877 to 1881), cleaned of Lebous, close to Réquista during 5 years.

He fixed himself definitively in 1886 at Saint-Andre-with-Najac where he was to exert there his sacerdotal functions until 1906.

He took his retirement in his sister Caroline with Villefranche-with-Rouergue until his death, the day before the Armistice of 1918.
