Synopsis
Penny Hale leaves its boarding school to find his/her father with a very smart hotel of New York. Instead of finding the largest apartment and most comfortable, Penny finds his/her ruined father become electrician with the basement. Penny is surprised singing a song in the hotel and is caught by Mr. Waters who prevents to him that the next time, Penny will have to leave the hotel with his/her father. It meets Milton, a young boy buckled and with short pants. She sympathizes with the young man and is rather content until the day when his/her father explains to him that as he was before architect, he had made a project of house which is never finished is watch with the little girl a drawing in a newspaper is known as that the Uncle Sam (America) has needs for money but as he is strong he will succeed in leaving himself there. By seeing the uncle de Milton, the Uncle Sam to be made continue by journalists, Penny believes that it is him which needs money and organizes a spectacle.

Anecdotes
- At the beginning of film one understands a piece instrumental when Shirley descends the staircase from the boarding school. The piece is not other than " One Good Ship Lollipop" film Bright Eyes.
