Juntoku
The emperor Juntoku (順徳天皇, Juntoku Tennō , October 22nd 1197 - October 7th 1242) was the 84e Empereur of Japan emperor of the Japan, according to the traditional order of the succession, and reigned of the December 12th 1210 with the May 13rd 1221. Its personal name was Morinari (守成).

Biography
Morinari becomes crown prince in 1200, then emperor in 1210 after his/her father the emperor withdrawn Go-Toba forced his brother Tsuchimikado to abdicate. Juntoku, contrary to soft Tsuchimikado, is equipped with a violent nature.At the time, truth capacity on Japan is exerted by the Shogunat de Kamakura. In 1221, Go-Toba forces it to abdicate to take part in its attempt at rebellion against the shogunat known under the name of Révolte of Jōkyū. After that, Juntoku is exiled in the island of Sado until its death in 1242, which is worth to him the posthumous name of Sadomasochistic-No-in (佐渡院).
Literature
One of its poems of 31 syllables will be chosen by Fujiwara No Teika as a first in the very popular anthology Hyakunin Isshu.
