Juniper (drink)

The Genièvre ( Walloon Peket in , jenever in Dutch) is a strong Alcool (in the neighborhoods of 20) manufactured containing Brandy of grains (barley malted, Corn, Rye, sometimes oats) aromatized using bays of genévrier. Today one markets aromatized junipers with various fruit taste. This alcohol is a speciality of Belgium, Netherlands and north of the France. He is also the ancestor of the gin .

Distillings

In 2005, one counted 38 distillings of junipers as follows distributed:
  • 17 in the Netherlands, including 5 with Schiedam,
  • 19 in Belgium of which:
  • 2 in France.
