June Anderson is a Soprano American born with Boston the December 30th 1952.

It makes its beginnings in 1978 in the role of the Queen of the Night ( the Magic Flute of Mozart) in the New York City Opera, where it will sing many times, in particular Donna Elvira ( Don Giovanni of Mozart) and Gilda ( Rigoletto of Verdi). She sings the second air of the Queen of the Night, in English, in Amadeus of Milos Forman.

She makes then primarily career in Europe in the field of the Bel canto and beautiful the canto romantic. She makes her beginnings with Garnier in Robert the Devil of Meyerbeer, a opera represented very many times at the 19th century but very little since. The spectacle is televised and shows the delirious reception of the public, in particular after the air " Robert, you that I aime" where the nobility of its port, the beauty and the ease of its overshrill register and the emotional intensity of its song save to him the favors of the public of Paris.

One of its headlights roles is Lucia di Lammermoor of Donizetti, which she interprets with Florence and Geneva (1983), with the Met of New York (1992). The discussed production of Andrei Serban of 1995 with the Opéra Bastille again reveals it with the public of Paris which had forgotten it a little.

She explores the repertory verdien then more, then German, while adding the role of Norma Bellini to its repertory.
