History

The menhir of Vaumoisson attests human presence and worship druidic in the area. Later, the villages belonged to the Abbaye of the Mount-Saint-Michel.At the 15th century, Pêcherie S were installed on the littoral, always visible today but unutilised. In 1678, Jacques Royer, lord of Blinière would have written with the King Louis XIV to ask for the permission of drain the Mare Bubble. In spite of the positive response of Colbert, it never became a meadow. This idea was taken up in 1794 by Going which had just repurchased the ground with the last lord Louis Martin de Bouillon and who tried the digging of a channel. In 1831, the pond was allocated to Martin de Bouillon which resold it with Mr. Leclère, Armateur to Granville which organized parts of fishing. Since Louis XI and until in 1871, Bouillon had two Curé S, one named by the bishop of Avranches, the other share the king.
Birth of a seaside resort
In 1874, Armand Jullou (1833 - 1913) became city council man Saint-Michel-of-Wolves. In 1882, it decided to acquire forty hectares of the mielles of Bouillon to build a Seaside resort. It sold the pieces until its financial problems of 1891 where the whole of its goods were sold by public Adjudication. In the Years 1930, the National company of rescue at sea was established in Jullouville. It is distributed today on three stations along the beach, initially with the casino (1950), then in Carolles and the hold of the yachtmen.
In 1944, Jullouville was released by the 6th armor-plated Division and during the continuation of the operations of the unloading, the castle of the Pond was the seat of the general headquarter of the allied forces under the command of the general Eisenhower. It is today a vacation center of the town of Saint-Ouen.
