Julius Richard $petri

Julius Richard $petri (1852 - 1921) is a German Bactériologiste and the inventor of the device which bears its name: the Box of $petri.

It is in 1887, when it was assisting of Doctor Robert Koch (who discovered in particular, the coal bacillus), which it developed it and it today is used much in Biologie (microbiology) for the culture of Micro-organisme S and of cell S. One also uses it in Médecine for the bacteriological taking away.
