Julio Robles
Julio Avelino Robles Hernández , born the December 4th 1951 with Fontiveros (Spain, Province of Ávila), dead the January 14th 2001 with Salamanque (Spain), was a Spanish Matador.

Career
- Beginnings as a public: August 28th 1968 with Villavieja de Yeltes (Spain, Province of Salamanque).
- Beginnings in Novillada with Picador S: Lérida (Spain) the May 10th 1970, at the sides of Paco Núñez and Avelino of Fuente. Novillos of the Ganadería of Heavy Martín Pérez Tabernero.
- Presentation with Madrid: June 10th 1972 at the sides of “Angelete” and “El Niño of Capea. Novillos of the ganadería of Juan Pedro Domecq.
- Alternate: Barcelona the July 9th 1972. Godfather, Diego Puerta; witness, Paco Camino. Bulls of the ganadería of Juan María Pérez Tabernero.
- Confirmation of alternative to Madrid: May 22nd 1973. Godfather, Antonio Bienvenida; witness, Palomo Linares. Bulls of the ganadería of Galache de Cobaleda.
Julio Robles was regarded as a very large capeador , of traditional style, artistic and major with the Muleta and excel estoqueador . It in particular left in triumph the arenas Madrid to three recoveries.
The August 13rd 1990, in the arenas of Béziers (France, department of the Herault), it is seriously wounded by the bull Timador of the ganadería of Cayetano Muñoz and remains tetraplegic.
At the time of the first birthday of its death, a statue of Julio Robles was inaugurated in Salamanque, near the arenas, beside that of another large matador salmantin: “El Viti”.
