Julio Robles

Julio Avelino Robles Hernández , born the December 4th 1951 with Fontiveros (Spain, Province of Ávila), dead the January 14th 2001 with Salamanque (Spain), was a Spanish Matador.

Presentation

Career

Julio Robles was regarded as a very large capeador , of traditional style, artistic and major with the Muleta and excel estoqueador . It in particular left in triumph the arenas Madrid to three recoveries.

The August 13rd 1990, in the arenas of Béziers (France, department of the Herault), it is seriously wounded by the bull Timador of the ganadería of Cayetano Muñoz and remains tetraplegic.

At the time of the first birthday of its death, a statue of Julio Robles was inaugurated in Salamanque, near the arenas, beside that of another large matador salmantin: “El Viti”.
