Julien Darui (born the February 16th 1916 with Oberkorn (Luxembourg); deceased the December 13rd 1987) is a player of Football French.

Biography

Native of Luxembourg into full Great War, Julien Darui passes his childhood in Lorraine in the small village of Audun-le-Tiche where his/her parents hold a coffee since 1918.

Julien Darui was one of most spectacular the French goalkeeper. He was very brilliant in the aerial sorties! He also worked his releases in forest and was capable of revivals to the foot or the hand of an astonishing precision. With the image of Pierre Chayriguès, he also excelled in the exits in the feet of his adversaries. He was selected as goalkeeper of the team of Europe which went to face the British in Glasgow in 1947.

During and after its career of player it tries, without success, to reconvert itself as trainer. It directs in particular CORT Roubaix of 1949 to 1953, SO Montpellier in the 1953-54 then Olympique Lyonese in 1954-55 and the CL Dijon in 1959-60. It will be engaged in 1956 by the circus Jean Richard, then still Pinder, for which it stops penalties on the track… It leaves this employment quickly and leaves to open a coffee with Dijon where it involves a time the local club.
