Julie Benz

Julie Benz is an American actress, born on May 1st 1972 with Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania (the United States).

His/her father is a surgeon and his mother skater on ice. It has a brother, Jeffrey, and a sister, Jennifer. She married the actor John Kassir during the summer 1998.

First of all wanting to start a career in the Figure skating, it must change opinion following a fall into iceskates. She then wishes to become the first female surgeon of her family, but gives up it after its first operation.

It obtains its first role with the cinema at 18 years, in Two eyes malefic ( Due occhi diabolici ), an adaptation of two famous news of Edgar Allan Poe. Thereafter she plays in Jawbreaker with dimensions of Pink McGowan (Paige in the series Charmed) and Rebecca Gayheart or in George of jungle 2 .

She also plays in series such as Our beautiful family the parallel , Sliders, worlds , Roswell or in the mini-series Disparition ( Taken ).

She is especially known for her interpretation of the very first vampire appearing in the series Buffy against the vampires , the ex-mistress of Angelus, Darla. She also plays in the derived version (“Spin-off”) from Buffy , Angel , where its interpretation, thanks to the evolution of the role, gains much in smoothness.

In 2006, it returns on the small screen, in the series Dexter where it interprets Rita Bennett, the boyfriend of the main character (Michael C. Hall), and obtains a Satellite Award for this role.
