Juliana republic
Proclaimed by Davi Canabarro and Giuseppe Garibaldi the July 15th 1839, the Republic Juliana or Catarinense Republic formed a confederation with the République Riograndense (Republic of Piratini). But the news République lasted only four weeks: it was unable to develop and to extend on the province from Santa Catarina from then, and to conquer Nossa Senhora C Desterro (current Florianópolis), provincial seat of the imperial government. In November of the same year, the force of the Brazilian Empire take again Laguna, capital of the republican government.
The sister of the Riograndense Republic resisted until March 1st 1845, when was signed the Traité of Ponche Verde, and it was integrated into the Empire of the Brésil.
