Jules Warnier

Jules Warnier , French politician, born with Rheims on August 26th, 1826, is deceased there on June 21st, 1899.

Jules Warnier was employed in the fabric trade of Adolphe David, of which he married in 1850 the girl Élisa (1829-1895). He could give a great extension to the house which after the death of his/her father-in-law passed under his direction. President of the Industrial society, it obtained municipality of Rheims the creation of the Vocational school, one of the open first in France. Judge at the Bankruptcy court, member of the Chamber of commerce, it was city council man of Rheims and deputy of 1871 to 1876. It bequeathed to the museum of the Art schools a beautiful collection of fabrics, among which several Corot. It rests with the Cimetière of North.
