Jules Leger

the very honourable Jules Leger , CP, DC, CM, CD, born the April 4th 1913 in Saint-Anicet and deceased the November 22nd 1980, was it twenty-and-unième general governor Canada, of 1974 with 1979.
It begins its career as journalist with the Droit of Ottawa then of directs, after his marriage in 1938, in teaching with the Université of Ottawa. In 1940, he embraces the career of Diplomate and occupies successively the posts of ambassador of the Canada to London, with the Mexico, in Italy, then in France.
Appointed general governor in 1974, it helps to redefine the role of the general governor in Canada. Hardly it is named that a Concussion deprives it of its forces and its facility of elocution. It never goes back from there entirely but manages through courage to find the use of the word and finishes its mandate with dignity.
