Jules Lavirotte
Jules Joseph Aimé Lavirotte (Lyon, March 25th 1864 - 1928) is a Architecte French Art nouveau.
It begins its studies in the Art schools of Lyon, and continues them in Paris, in the workshop of Paul Blondel.
Jules Lavirotte is recognized for one of the Masters of the Art nouveau it is perhaps most delirious and most singular of the architects 1900. He populated his buildings of an exuberant sexual symbolism of which the taste is sometimes discussed. He was the first to equip the frontages with the head to the foot with immense panels of sandstone flame: in testify its building to the Rapp avenue and especially Ceramic Hotel of the avenue to Wagram. It followed this current until in 1907, at the time where the Art nouveau blows itself. The principal buildings of its period “Art nouveau” are all in the same district, which makes it possible to see its style easily up to what point evolved/moved.
It gained with him only 3 contests of frontages of the town of Paris.
