Jules Hardouin-Mansart born on April 16th 1646 with Paris and dead on May 11th 1708 with Marly-the-King was an architect French.
He was First architect of the King Louis XIV.

Biography

It is formed by Libéral Bunting. It gains the regard of the king Louis XIV after having drawn the plans of the castle of Clagny, intended for the favorite mistress of the king, Madam de Montespan. He becomes ordinary architect in 1675, First architect of the King in 1681, intendant general of the Bâtiments of the king in 1685, general inspector of the Bâtiments of the King in 1691 and superintendent of the Bâtiments of the King in 1699. He is anobli by Louis XIV in 1682, but he has for any title only that of rider, because he does not have titrated ground. He will have to wait until 1699 and the acquisition of the county of Sagonne in Bourbonnais for 130.000 books to put forward his title of count.
