Jules Godin

Jules Godin , born on March 14th, 1844 with Versailles (Yvelines) and dead on December 21st, 1925 with the Perray-in-Yvelines was a politician French. He was in addition lawyer, and magistrate.

Political career

Between 1876 and 1881, it is appointed of the French establishments of India. It is senator French establishments of India of 1891 to 1909. He is secretary of the Senate of 1894 to 1896. In 1905 he votes for the law of separation of the churches and the State. With the Senate it has an important parliamentary activity.

September 17th, 1898, the cabinet Brisson is made up, Jules Godin is Public Minister for Labor. With the House of Commons on October 27th, 1898, following the sudden starts of the Business Dreyfus, the day order of confidence presented by the President of the council Henri Brisson is rejected. Jules Godin resigns of his post of minister at the same time as all the Brisson cabinet.

Thereafter, he is elected President of the democratic republican Alliance.

With his death, Jules Godin is President of the Council of District of Rambouillet (Yvelines).

He is the author of a work published in 1892: Comment of the law of court fees .
