Jules Coutan

Jules (Felix) Coutan is a French sculptor born in Paris in 1848 and deceased in 1939. Price of Rome in 1872 for: " Ajax facing the Gods and struck down " , boarder with the Villa Médicis in Rome of 1873 to 1876.

  • the Hunters of Eagles , 1900, High relief out of plaster, Paris, Museum of Orsay, the bronze carried out in 1900-1901 is with the Natural history museum of Natural history of Paris, Galerie of Anthropology (frontage street) ordered by the State under the title " Human races ".
  • Memorial with the soldier of Vienna died during the war of 1870 , Poitiers, Magenta Public garden street. The model plasters some is with the Museum Holy-Cross in Poitiers.
