Jules Bourelly

Jules Bourelly , general and French writer born the January 29th 1835 with Belfort, wire of Jean-Baptiste Bourelly and Anne Marie Ulrich, married on September 18th, 1860 with Adolphine Dubois de Montrilé, deceased with Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer on July 8th, 1921.

It made the campaigns of Italy of 1859 with the 88e regiment of infantry and fought against Germany in 1870-71 with the staff of the 11th army corps of the Rhine. He wrote “Memories of the countryside of 1859” and “the war of 1870-71 and the treaty of Frankfurt”. He is made major in 1876 and becomes director of studies at the military special school in 1880. He passes to the infantry where he becomes major to the general staff of the 2nd army corps in 1880. Lieutenant-colonel in 1884 and chief of staff of the 8th division of infantry of the 4th army corps. He becomes colonel in 1887 and brigadier general on August 26th, 1893. Jules Bourelly wrote many works whose its famous “pearls of the Riviera” considered as one of best delivers on the south-east of the hexagon.
