Jules Avaux
Jules Avaux born on May 8th, 1906 with Gosselies and deceased Mesvin on September 7th, 1966 is a Politician and a Belgian trade unionist as well as a Walloon militant.
First alderman then Burgomaster making function of Courcelles (it is not named because of its sympathes for the USSR), it adheres to Communism in clandestinity, founds a cell of the Walloon Front for the release of the country. With the Release, he becomes secretary of regional FGTB of Brussels, presents his candidature for the post of national secretary but is victim of the rejection of the Communists in this trade union. He tries to work as independent but fails and is finally recovered by PSB.
