Jules-Alexis Muenier

Jules-Alexis Muenier was a painter and Photographe French, called the minor artist of Coulevon .

It resided during many years at the castle of Coulevon; a place bears its name there.

Born the November 29th 1863 in Lyon, he is the son of Alexis Muenier and Rosine Virginia Petit. He marries Marie Pâris in 1885; she will give him a son, Pierre.

He is allowed with the fine art at 18 years, in the workshop of Jean-Leon Gérôme. It will be also the pupil of Dagnan-Bouveret and Courtois.
