History

The company was created in 1924. At the time, it was called SMH, Société of the HAVAS Machines. It was then sold with the Alcatel group of 1981 to 1992. Then the group separated from this company giving rise to the Neopost group. In 2005, Neopost carries out a small acquisition through the Société BTA (based with Zurich) specialized in the IT solution and the software for the rooms of treatment of the mail. This activity is on line with the strategy of the group to develop and optimize the applications in the rooms of treatment of the mail.

the mechanical era: 1924-1970

• 1924: Havas launches its first franking machine: type A. Fondation of Neopost Limited (the United Kingdom)

• 1929: Havas creates its die “the Company of the Havas Machines” (SMH) and diversifies its range of franking machines.

• 1930: Acquisition of Neopost per Roneo (the United Kingdom)

• 1935: Creation of the name of mark Neopost (the United Kingdom)

the electronic era: 1970-1992

• 1970: Repurchase of SMH-Adrex by the General Company of Electricity.

• 1979: Repurchase of Friden by the General Company of Electricity

• 1980: Acquisition by C.G.E of Roneo and Hadewe (the United Kingdom and Netherlands) • 1981: Fastening at Alcatel, subsidiary of C.G.E. (France)

• 1989: Fusion with OPUS. SMH-Alcatel becomes OPUS-Alcatel.

the digital age: 1992 with today

• 1992: Alcatel demolishes its mail activities. OPUS-Alcatel becomes SMH-NEOPOST, subsidiary of Neopost Group. Creation of the Neopost Group.

• 1997: A group of investors, advised by BC Partners, takes the control of Neopost.

• 1998: SMH-NEOPOST becomes Neopost France. The chip makes its entry.

• 1999: Appearance of Neopost over the Primary market of Euronext Paris, on February 23rd (Action with 15€). • 2002: Acquisition of Ascom Hasler, Neopost becomes n°2 world.

• 2002: Acquisition of Stielow and Hasler (Germany and Switzerland).

• 2003: Neopost achieves the integration of the companies acquired in 2002, sells the activity of Stielow nonrelated to the mail, and reinforces its structures.

• 2005: Acquisition of BTA.

• 2006: To reinforce its international profile, the Group adopts a new visual identity and a new signature. It thus expresses its engagement near its customers. This new graphic charter reinforces the image of Neopost everywhere in the world and federates the whole of its subsidiary companies. The signature, “We been worth your email”, clearly illustrates the mission of the Group and its ambitions: to develop and optimize the management of the mail within the companies and organizations postal.

The Groupe Neopost is the 1st European supplier and the 2nd world supplier of equipment of rooms of mail and logistic solutions with more than 800.000 customers. Based in Paris region, the Neopost Group is present directly in 14 countries which account for 90% of the market of the Franking machine: The United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. The products of the Neopost Group are distributed in more than 90 countries. The Group has of 4 production sites and 3 research centres & Développement. To maintain its advance on its market and to constantly improve its standards of quality, the Neopost Group devotes today more than 5% of its turnover under Research & Développement. Moreover, 230 engineers maintain a technological survey daily. The Neopost Group is a company dimensioned on Euronext Paris (Compartment A) and fact part of the CAC Next20 and CAC IT20. Neopost France , subsidiary of the Group Neopost, true facilitator of the function mail, offers the most advanced solutions as regards stamping, of folding, insertion or addressing of documents, like as regards logistic traceability. Neopost proposes also a very complete offer of service, in particular integrating the council, the maintenance and the solutions of financing. products and services Neopost :

- Franking machines : They treat between 3.900 and 15.000 folds per hour according to the selected model. They are directly connected to the waiter of the Post office by phone line, which facilitates the payment. It becomes possible to use the mail as tool of publicity and of communication since the franking machines Neopost store different eye catching advertisement personalized, messages text and logos of company. They very have a broad screen making it possible to follow the process of stamping. Moreover, some are equipped with a built-in balance weighing all the types of mails (envelopes, parcel, all formats) until 30kg. Lastly, for the follow-up of stampings, it is possible to create between 35 and 500 accounts.

- Setting Under Fold : They fold and insert the documents into 1 only movement in the envelopes. To 800 envelopes can be reloaded without stopping of the machine. These machines carry out between 1350 folds per hour (SI-30) and 5000 folds per hour and adapt to all the types of folding (in 2, 3 etc). Moreover, certain settings under fold Neopost can prepare commercial mailing (insertion of CD, booklets, folding of several A4 layers) and have an inspecting device thickness in order to detect if it misses pages or if there is a mixture of pages from one recipient to another.

- Destroying : The printed documents threaten the confidentiality of information. To make illegible and not exploitable becomes essential then. Neopost proposes various models of destructors according to the volume of documents to be made indecipherable. It results a strong reduction from it from the waste, conditioned at once out of vats of paperboard and biodegradable bags in order to preserve the environment.

- Solutions of opening : To open the mail, to withdraw the documents and Trier is a waste of time and often gives birth to from the errors. Neopost proposes a vast range of very functional letter-openers treating between 300 and 650 envelopes per minute.
