Judith Mossman
Doctor Judith Mossman is a character of the Série of video game Half-Life . It is a woman of forty years which work with Doctor Eli Vance in the secret laboratory of Black Mesa Is.
Presentation
Judith is a physician of talent moved by a great scientific curiosity. She works in secrecy for Doctor Wallace Breen. This last used it to infiltrate the team of Doctor Eli Vance.
To the wire of its work with Eli, it falls in love from there. She is then constantly tormented by the idea of having to betray it. For this reason it is cold and distant to try to overcome its discomfort.
Appearances in Half-Life ²
The first appearance of Doctor Mossman is done in chapter 2 (One Day Memorable). She tries to stabilize the Téléportation missed by the protagonist Gordon Freeman.
Gordon will meet physically Judith in chapter 5 (Black Mesa Is). Whereas it is in the hopper of entry of the base, Doctor Mossman opens the door to him. She explains then the place to him where they are. Judith takes along Gordon at Eli and this last just like explains that Judith had also postulated, him to him, for an employment in the secret base of Black Mesa. The station had returned to him.
Alyx Vance quarrels then with Judith. This one does not appreciate it too much and suspects it of not being very clear. The two women are not agreement: Mossman does not approve a little lively way of Alyx to conceive science.
Later in the play (chapter 10), Alyx and Gordons capture Judith. They want to save Eli Vance by means of a teleportor of the Trust. Judith is the only one with being able to actuate it. This one starts the machine and benefits from one moment of carelessness of Alyx and Gordon to take seat with Eli there. It had changed the coordinates of destination. Initially, the machine was programmed for téléporter in the laboratory of Doctor Isaac Kleiner but following the handling of Mossman, the destination is the office of Wallace Breen. Gordons and Alyx succeed in saving soldiers of the Trust while being téléportant in the laboratory of Doctor Kleiner, just before the teleportor does not explode.
At the end of the play, in chapter 10, Gordon, Alyx and Eli are prisoners of Breen and Mossman. Eli Vance rejects the ultimatum which Breen launches to him. Breen then decides to dispatch Eli and Alyx in an outside world. Conscious that its confidence towards Wallace Breen was badly placed, Judith threatens Breen with the MEP (the electric device that Alyx uses to open the doors and to enter the computers of the Trust) of Alyx. She releases Alyx and Eli while Breen escapes by an elevator. Gordons and Alyx launch out to the continuation of this last.
Appearance in Half-Life ²: Episode One
Mossman appears during a video recording. She survived the explosion of the generator by the vacuum of the Citadel. She is on mission on behalf of resistance and seems to seek something, but this something is not mentioned. She works with a team of rebels. The recording ends in the explosion of a door and the crashing to pieces entry soldiers of elite of the Trust which stops the conversation.
