Judith Jasmine
Judith Jasmin (Terrebonne, Quebec, July 10th 1916 - Montreal, October 20th 1972) is a Québécois Journaliste . It is the first woman with the Quebec to force itself like international reporter.
She started her career at Radio-Canada towards the end of the year 1940 as corresponding international.
She will animate a radio broadcast with Rene Lévesque, Carrefour . In 1953, it specializes in new the TV: Report and Press conference .
It goes down in the street to listen to people, with an aim of denouncing the injustices. It is one of the members founders of the laic Mouvement of French language.
It spends then several years abroad, in order to share with the Québécois public his meetings with the great names of the time. In spite of sometimes difficult conditions to carry out its reports, and the obstacles sown on its road, its talent and its determination make the first woman in Quebec of it be imposed like international reporter.
In 1966, it is named corresponding, for the account of Radio-Canada, with UNO, then with Washington, D.C
Reached of a cancer, it returns to Montreal in 1970 when it continues despite everything its work to defer to the news then with the public affairs.
She died in 1972.
