Judge Dredd is a American film of Danny Canon left in 1995.
Synopsis
After an atomic apocalypse, in 2139, civilization survives in gigantic cities like Mega City One. Top, the supported quatiers, until the bottom where misery remains and where, to maintain the order, Judges (judges) patrol on powerful flying motor bikes (the tribuno-glisseurs') '. They are at the same time police officers, sworn… and torturers. Among them, the judge Dredd . Shown meutre of a journalist, the judge Dredd , must prove to its innocence with the assistance its coequipière Judge Hershey and Hermann Ferguson " Fergie". He discovers that he is in fact the genetic fruit of experiment (the project Janus ) and that his/her former better friend, Rico judge, that he sent in prison, is his brother, resulting him also from this project of genetic engineering. All which one shows it has in fact perpetrated by Rico, which escaped and wants to direct the city with the assistance of clones of itself, which will replace the judges. Following the final confrontation, Rico dies while falling from the Statue of Freedom.
Comment
The film is a little far from the Comic S and is pretext with scenes of action. Nevertheless, the fans of Stallone, superman and science fiction will be satisfied with this film, of which the well built scenario. Sylvester Stallone plays perfectly the part of judge Joseph Dredd, one can even say that this role is made for him. The final combat Dredd/Rico will level the amateurs of the kind.
