Judes Pear tree

Judes Poirier is a Biochimiste Québécois born in 1961 with Montreal. It is one of the last pupils of the doctor André Barbeau.

He is director of the research program on the ageing of the Douglas Hôpital of Verdun and professor at the Department of Psychiatrie and medicine and director of the Center of study on the ageing of the Université McGill.

He showed in 1995 that a substance normally charged to transport the Cholestérol in blood and the brain, the ApoE4, is directly connected to the genesis of the Maladie of Alzheimer.
