Jubei-chan (in Japanese: 十兵衛ちゃん~ラブリー眼帯の秘密~; Juubei-chan: Raburii Gantai No Himitsu ) is a Anime of 13 episodes written and realized by Akitaro Daichi, produced by Studio Madhouse and diffused on TV Tōkyō in 1999. He is laid off in France cheez Beez Entertainment.

A continuation, Jubei-chan 2, left in 2004. In North America, these animate are distributed by Bandai Entertainment.

The main character of this comedy with vague historical savor is Nanohana Jiyu. While progressing, the history comprises also dramatic elements.

Synopsis

The history is started by a competition between two schools of Japanese fencing: the Yagyu Jubei and the Ryujoji . The competition should have been completed 300 years ago when the first school beat the second, but this one establishes to be avenged. Yaguy Jubei instructs the samurai Koinosuke to find who will succeed to him and to give him its eye patch in order to transmit all its techniques to him.
