Juan de Grijalva
Juan de Grijalva (born v. 1489 with Cuellar, Spain - died the January 21st 1527 with the Nicaragua) was a Spanish soldier . He was one of the first Conquistador S to explore the coasts of the Mexico, on May 1st 1518.
Some say that it was of the family of Diego Velázquez.
It went to Hispaniola in 1508 and to Cuba in 1511.
Río Grijalva was named in its memory.
