Juan Tafures

Juan Tafures or Tafurer, Catalan adventurer. Died after 1477. Owner of a trading vessel, it slackens with the Saltworks of Cyprus (Larnaca) in July 1457 when it helps Jacques de Lusignan, wire batârd of king de Chypre, which has just made assassinate the chamberlain of the kingdom, to flee in Rhodos. He becomes one of his partisans and takes part in the conquest of the kingdom on the queen legitimates in September 1460.
