Juan Pérez de Montalván
Juan Pérez de Montalván (1602 with Madrid - June 25th 1638 in Madrid), was a priest, writer, Dramatic author, Poète and Spanish Nouvelliste .
He is the son of the editor inhabitant of Madrid Alonso Pérez downward of Juif S converted. At eighteen years he is laid off in Théologie, ordered priest in 1625 and appointed notary of the Inquisition. In 1619 it starts to write plays under the direction of Lope de Vega, which one says that it helped it in the composition of El Orfeo in lengua castellana (1624), a poem intended to enter in competition with the Orfeo of Jáuregui, published a little earlier, at the time of this same year. Its Sucesos there prodigios of amor (1624) and Para todos (1632) will be a great success.
The father of Montalván, editor in Madrid, launched a pirate edition of the Buscon of Quevedo, which started a heinous controversy. The violence of these Polémique S, the overwork and the death of Lope de Vega affected Montalván as well as it as an insane soothsayer; it mourrut in Madrid on June 25th, 1638. Its last work was a funeral praise and biography of Lope de Vega in the Fama póstuma (1636).
Its work counts more than 48 parts, among most famous, quote Los amantes of Teruel (lovers of Teruel) or Monja Alférez (the nun lieutenant - which tells the life of Catalina de Erauso).
