Juan-the-Pines

Juan-the-Pines or Juan (in Occitan Of Provence Joan dei Pines according to the traditional standard or Jouan dei Pine according to the Standard mistralienne) constitutes the major part of the seaside resort of the commune of Antibes Juan-the-pines, Commune Frenchwoman of the department of the the Alpes-Maritimes (second city of the department) in area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.

It is located between Nice and Cannes, to 13 km of the International airport of Nice-Coast of Azure, on the Golfe Juan.

The inhabitants of Juan-the-Pines are the Juanais .

In the park of the casino (the Pine forest) an arc formed with the remains of a trophy raised was placed to celebrate the first Roman victory in Gaulle (154 before J. - C.), gained in the close plain.

History

Appreciated Back Passos, Hemingway and Francis Scott Fitzgerald, the Seaside resort of Juan-the-Pines is created in 1882 and developed in the years 1920 under the impulse of the American rich person Frank Jay Gould.

The Jazz festival

Created the July 7th 1960, this festival gathers the jazz bands of many countries come from the four corners of the world.
