Jovian Chronicles

the Chronicles Joviennes ( The Jovian Chronicles ) is a universe of Jeu X of Science-fiction published by the Canadian editor Dream Pod 9 since 1992. It is used as decoration with a Roleplay and several Jeux of miniatures. For the moment, the plays of the series are available only in English.

Universe

The Chroniques present future possible in which Humanity colonized the Solar system, going until Terraformer Venus and Mars. The colonies joviennes are in opposition to the totalitarian government of the Ground, providing large intrigue.

The play is based on a mixture of action and facts scientific. Although the books are not handbooks of engineers, they include many highly plausible details, derived from state-of-the-art technologies of the present.

Inspirations

For a few years, Japanese animation, or Has animated, inspired by many plays. The Chroniques Joviennes are number. Although the technical elements (spaceships, equipment, etc) are illustrated using data-processing drawings, the remainder (characters and others) is of style " anime."

The exo-armours are the main thing MacGuffin of the series. In fact giant robots (or Mecha) are used at the same time of spacesuits and fighting vehicles. One can see here the direct influence of two series televise major, Gundam and Robotech.
