Josiane Tightens

Josiane Serre , born Heulot (December 17th, 1922 - October 11th, 2004) was a French chemist . Its speciality was the quantum chemistry, which she had learned at Alberte Pullman and from Gaston Berthier.

It was successively raises, assistant, professor, sub-manageress and finally director of the National university of young girls of Sevres; it is under its impulse that the ENSJF amalgamated with the National university of the street of Ulm. After the death in 1989 of the director of the ENS Ulm Georges Poitou, it takes over temporarily the duties as administrator of the mixed ENS.

She was married with the mathematician Jean-Pierre Serre, of which she had a girl, Claudine Serre, diplomat and woman of letters.
