Joshua Barnes

Joshua Barnes (January 10th 1654 - August 3rd 1712), hellenist English, born with London.

He left in addition to several original works, of the estimated editions:

of Euripide, Cambridge, 1694;
of Anacréon, 1705;
of Homère, 1710.

It had many scholarship, but little judgment and taste, which made say to spiritual the Richard Bentley that Barnes knew the Greek as well as a Savetier of Athens.
