Joseph Vebret , born the 22 September 1957 with Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme), is a French writer. He is also director of collection and ensures the leading direction of the review the press Littéraire and of the Magazine of the Books .
Biography
Of a father Auvergnat teacher and of a French-speaking means-Eastern mother, Joseph Vebret is resulting from an improbable meeting in 1956 in a shared taxi between Beirut and Alep.Only sons, nourished of two cultures, its childhood and part of its adolescence are held in a particular atmosphere, that of the communities expatriates, centers of the Alliance Fran1caise, embassies and consulates.
After a few years with, it starts its schooling with Teheran, then with Bizerte and the French Institute of Athens. Of return in France in 1972, it makes its studies with the College Blaise Pascal of Clermont-Ferrand and takes down a baccalaureat D in 1976. The continuation will be more chaotic. Registered to the Medical college, it spends more time in the coffees, to read and write, that on the benches of the amphitheaters. Since, it is divided full-time between the edition, in the capacity as director of collection (documents of topicality and others for the Archipelago, Écriture, presses of Châtelet), the leading direction of the the press Littéraire (re-examined quarterly started again in 2004) and of the Magazine of the Books (two-monthly created in November 2006) and the writing.
February 2005, publication of the part In absence (Editions the Minotaure Archangel), selected for the dramatic Grand Prix of literature 2006 and which will be put in scene and played by Alain Carré in April 2008 at the Theater of the Bad cold-Heart in Geneva.
