Joseph Tirou
Joseph-Léopold-Ghislain Tirou , (Jumet, April 5th, 1876 - Charleroi, June 18th, 1952), was a Belgian Politician and a Walloon militant, member of the Liberal party.
It was alderman of Charleroi of 1921 with 1925 then burgomaster of 1925 with 1952. It was senator of 1939 with 1946. It sat at the Walloon Assemblée of 1927 to 1940, was member of the committee of the Walloon National congress and accommodated the second session of this one in the city which it directed while doing it pavoiser to the colors of Wallonia in 1946.
Anecdote
Rather unusual fact, the name of Joseph Tirou was allotted to a boulevard traced on the bed embanked of the Sambre, inaugurated on October 11th, 1948, therefore the alive one of this one.
