Joseph Reyre
The abbot Joseph Reyre (1735-1812) was a Jésuite and French writer, specialized in the Littérature of youth.
Born with Eyguières in Provence, he became member of the Society of Jesus and teaches with the college of Lyon, then becomes prefect of that of Aix.
After the removal of the Jesuits, he taught humanities with Carpentras, then fixed himself at Paris in 1785 when he is established in the community of the Eudistes.
Imprisoned with the Revolution, it is released on July 27th, 1794.
It made several dedicated works with education, inter alia:
- the Mentor of the children , collection of instructions, features of history and fables, often reprinted;
- the School of the young young ladies ;
- Christian Anecdotes ;
- the Fabuliste of the children .
