Joseph Marx is a Compositeur Autrichien, born on May 11th 1882 with Graz and dead on September 3rd 1964
Biography
It was always interested in the music but does not seem to have studied seriously before the university. It is subject to the influence of Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, max Reger.It is, according to Brendan Carroll, a " absolute master of the harmonie" , whose its Lieder attest, bringing closer it on this point to Alexandre Scriabine.
He regularly attended other personalities of the Austrian musical life, such Franz Schmidt, Franz Schreker, Leopold Godowsky, Wilhelm Kienzl, Karl Böhm, Rudolf Hans Bartsch, Clemens Krauss, Anton Wildgans or Angelo Kessisoglu.
