Joseph Marie (1821 - 1884) French landscape gardener originating in Maincourt.
Biography
In 1845, it settles with Moulins. In 1860 the Emperor Napoleon III entrusts to Joseph Marie installation Parks To combine Vichy. It is the departure of great work of embellishment of the thermal spa. As of 1863 the projects follow one another and lead about 1870 to the general aspect which we know. It continues in other incipient thermal spas as Bourboule but creates also private parks, like that of the Castle of the Place with Jassans-Riottier. It will not remain without posterity, his Antoinette daughter will marry François-Marie Treyve, the couple will be at the origin of a dynasty bourbonnaise landscape designers who perdurée until our days.
