Joseph Halléguen
Joseph Halléguen (Quimper, July 2nd 1916 - Quimper, January 31st 1955) is a resistant and a Politician French.
Biography
Of a family resulting from Irish immigration with the 17th S, it is the third wire of Jean-Louis Halléguen, Louise Guéguen and sales representative. During its drive with the Canada, it publishes several patriotic articles under the name of " Pierre Hallé" in " Jour" , of Montreal. Patented navigator, in August 1943, in Ancienne Lorette, the Quebec, it is versed with the group Lorraine FAFL and achieves 72 missions of bombardment with the squadron 342 where it often makes crew with Robert Grécourt, pilot, and Pierre Ducancelle, radio.
Demobilized in 1945, he is Operations manager with the Ministry for Information, in particular for the exposure " Deliver and graphic arts indochinois" with the National library. Named for " to organize the services of Information in Extême-Orient" , he will not exert this function. Delegated RPF for the Finistere, he is elected Maire of Quimper of 1947 with 1953 and General adviser. During its mandate, with François Bégot and Pierre Jakez Hélias, it instigates the Fêtes of Cornwall and twinning with the town of Falkirk in Scotland. Elected official Appointed RPF (Gathering of French people) of Finistere, on June 17th 1951, it resigns one year later for ARS (Republican and Social Action). He is rapporteur of the parliamentary commission charged to study the " consequences of the unit saharienne" , during a mission in Tunisia and with the Morocco in autumn 1953. It is with Joseph Martray and Rene Pléven, one of the cofounders of CELIB (Study committee and of Connection of the Breton Interests) created in 1950 of which it takes the presidency of the executive office.
He dies prematurely in Quimper the January 31st 1955 at the 38 years age. More than two hundreds of his/her friends will form a committee for the construction of a granite memorial carrying its bronze effigy by the sculptor Rene Quillivic. With the inauguration, two years later, his/her friend Auguste Dupouy will evoke " there; this large vivant".
