Joseph Grusenmeyer

Biography

Joseph Grusenmeyer (July 12th, 1867 with Uhlwiller - January 5th, 1949 with Haguenau). It is the groin of a family of 11 children. Master mechanic, Inventeur it held a workshop of mechanics and sale of machines Agricoles, and word-oriented machines of all kinds with service after guaranteed sale with Haguenau. It was the first to lead a car to Haguenau, conveys that it bought before 1900 with the Benz factory, in Mannheim, in Germany. This car which has the engine under the seats carries number 200. 1923: By the decree of February 27th, 1923, it receives the medal of honor in reward of the invaluable contest which it brought to the Social Security. Fact in Paris on August 17th, 1931.

1938 : Joseph, philanthropist, are decorated by the Croix with honor for humane works.

He was also president of the corporation of the mechanics of Haguenau and Wissembourg.
